Legal practice

Dr. Dumoulin has extensive experience in the area of business law, drawing on his international education in England and Canada, as well as on his longstanding engagement in Geneva Group International. His legal practice focuses on advising midsized companies on issues of national and international commercial law arising in their day-to-day business operations. In addition to "classic" commercial law issues, such as relationships with suppliers or service providers, cooperations and distribution, these include issues of unfair competition law and intellectual property law (in particular trademark applications and license agreements). In this connection, he benefits from his board certification as an attorney for intellectual property law, which he acquired in 2007. Dr. Dumoulin also represents his clients before courts and arbitration courts.

Since 1997 Dr. Dumoulin has advised financial services providers on all issues arising in connection with financial services (leasing and factoring law) – including cross-border issues – and has litigated complex legal actions in court.

In addition, Dr. Dumoulin advises clients in health care law matters involving both regulatory and civil law issues. In 2009 he became a board-certified attorney for health care law. His clients in this area include medical professionals, health care institutions and manufacturers of medical products.

Dr. Dumoulin serves as the Vice Global Chairperson of the Practice Group Litigation and Dispute Resolution of Geneva Group International, and is the editor of the publication "FYI - GGI Litigation and Dispute Resolution News". He has also authored numerous other publications.
