Ms. Tiemann has been working as a lawyer at FPS in the field of Intellectual Property / IT since 2018. She specializes in advising German and internationally well-known clients in the field of intellectual property (trademark, competition, design law) as well as copyright and e-commerce law.
- Education and career
Ms. Tiemann studied law at the University of Hamburg, her First State Examination already focused on information and communication law (Media and IP-Law). She completed her Second Sate Examination and legal clerkship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court of Hamburg with activities, among others, at the Scientific Service of the German Bundestag in the Department of Media and Culture, at the German Embassy in Rome and at a special chamber for copyright law at the Hamburg Regional Court.
Ms. Tiemann initially worked as Legal Counsel in the Legal Department of the GEMA Directorate General in Munich, one of the world's largest author associations for works of music. There, she was especially involved in copyright law, music law and film production law.
Subsequently, Ms. Tiemann worked as a legal counsel for media law and broadcasting law for the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, where she also became data protection officer of the Senate Chancellery. Later on, she also worked for the International Department.
Since 2018, Ms. Tiemann has worked as a lawyer in the field of IP / IT at FPS and successfully completed the theoretical qualification as Certified Specialist for Intellectual Property Rights / IP Law.
