Rouven was admitted to the German bar in 2012. Rouven´s main practice focus is litigation and out-of-court repre​sentation in cases involving banking, attorney and notary liability. Furthermore, he advises his clients in corporate law and he is specialized in cooperative legislation.

Education and career

Attorney Dr. Kober has been admitted to practice law in Frankfurt since 2012.

Dr. Kober is a diplomaed bank clerk, bank administrator, and bank manager. From 1994 until 2002 he worked for a credit union in the State of Hesse handling private and commercial loans.

While studying law at Philipps University in Marburg he was a research assistant to Prof. Dr. Katja Langenbucher and worked on a regular basis for his former employer in the loan and legal department.

Dr. Kober wrote his dissertation on a topic of corporate law under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Volker Beuthien.

Since 2007 Dr. Kober has been a (freelance) researcher at the Institute for Cooperative Business at Philipps University in Marburg.

Dr. Kober represents banks in disputes both in and out of court (including cases involving loan revocations, asset management, investment advice, or payment transactions). He also advises banks and companies with ties to the banking business on matters involving payment transactions (online payments, mobile payments, payment service providers, account information services). He is a member of the new "New Tech" practice group of FPS.

Dr. Kober publishes and lectures on legal topics on a regular basis. Most recently, he has investigated the topics "Digitalization and Data Privacy" and "Do We Need a Civil Code 4.0?".
