The extremely dynamic area of health care is a particular specialty of FPS, requiring expertise in different areas of the law. Our health care experts always keep abreast of rapid developments in this area and offer expertise on all corporate, real property, public and tax law issues, as well as on professional laws and regulations and medical malpractice issues. When advising clients in health care matters, we therefore regularly work together with experts from the real estate, M&A and tax law practice groups.
In particular, we advise clients on the operation of nursing homes, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, medical buildings, medical services centers and retirement homes. In addition, we provide legal counsel on all issues of civil, social, tax and public law arising in connection with transactions involving hospitals, rehabilitation clinics or nursing homes. We advise clients on restructurings, including insolvency law and tax law issues, the establishment and restructuring of medical groups and other physicians' cooperations, pharmaceutical advertising, the defense of malpractice cases, and employment law issues arising in hospitals.
