FPS advises Smurfit Westrock on the sale of Recycling Dual GmbH

On behalf of FPS, the transaction was led by Dr Jan Dreyer (packaging law, regulatory affairs and merger control) and Dr Thomas Schnülle-Weingart (corporate/M&A). The team also provided advice on employment law, data protection and liability issues.

Smurfit Westrock plc is one of the world’s leading providers of sustainable paper-based packaging solutions. The company develops, manufactures and distributes packaging for clients across numerous sectors and has an extensive network of production and recycling sites.

With the sale of Recycling Dual GmbH, Smurfit Westrock is completing its full withdrawal from the dual-system market in Germany, as announced last year.
