FPS gains energy lawyer Dr Carmen Schneider

The commercial law firm FPS has strengthened its growing energy practice by appointing Dr Carmen Schneider as an equity partner.

From 1 August 2025, she will take over from Hamburg as head of FPS's energy practice. She joins from Oppenhoff.

Dr Schneider provides comprehensive advice to national and international clients on energy law. She specialises in energy contract amd energy regulatory law, as well as energy trading, with a focus in the field of renewable energies (in particular onshore and offshore wind, solar, storage facilities and electrolysers). She also advises on M&A transactions in the energy sector and represents clients in court and arbitration proceedings. Dr Schneider is listed as a leading energy lawyer in the renowned JUVE Handbook for Commercial Law Firms, Best Lawyers (US) and WirtschaftsWoche magazine.
